Kilbarron Stone Ringfort

Internal diam. c. 18m. A field wall seems to be built on the S section, 16m long, of the footing of this cashel, 1m wide and up to .6m high. Nothing survives of the E section and only a heap of stones lie on what was the line of the W section. Several stones lie along the N section but many have slipped over the edge of the ridge. A horse-shoe-shaped foundation of stones 3m in diameter lies outside the E perimeter. The site is located on the summit of a N-facing slope.
