Kathleen Simon, Viscountess Simon

Kathleen Simon, Viscountess Simon, was born in County Wexford, Ireland, on 23 September 1869. She became a renowned anti-slavery activist who campaigned against racial discrimination and servitude throughout her life. Her experiences in Tennessee inspired her lifelong commitment to ending slavery, leading to her appointment as Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
