James Starley was a pioneering 19th-century inventor and manufacturer from Coventry, known as the "Father of the Bicycle." He is remembered for his significant contributions to the development of the modern bicycle and for founding the Starley bicycle manufacturing company, which played a key role in Coventry's industrial heritage.
