This yellow commemorative plaque records: Home of Sir James A. H. Murray (1837-1915). Editor of the Oxford English Dictionary. Co-founder of the Hawick Archaeological Society who erected this plaque in its 150th year 2006. Recorded plaque organisation: Hawick Archaeological Society.
