Ivy Cove is a small bay on the south coast of Devon, England, characterized by its steep sea cliffs composed primarily of Cretaceous-age limestone and chalk. The cliffs and coastal features were formed through sedimentation in a shallow tropical sea during the Late Cretaceous period, around 66 to 145 million years ago, and are notable for their classic examples of coastal erosion and geological layering.
