What is recorded here

Crannog islands are ancient human-made islands, built from earth and stone in shallow lake water. People lived on them, kept animals on them, and disappeared from them while the lake kept their shape. Crannog means a made island, not a abandoned island. The distinction matters because creation is visible in the shape.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as ISLAND, possibly CRANNOG. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
