What is recorded here

Inscribed stone (present location) in Limerick City, irishtown is a datestone from 1733, taken from a medieval house and set into the north facade of the United Drug office at the junction of Curry Lane and Old Clare Street. It marks a building that survived the loss of its first life by reappearing somewhere else. The numbers and letters on its surface do more than record a year; they tie a forgotten room to a street still walked today.
A datestone (LI005-017188-) from 1733 was taken from a medieval house (LI005-017182-) and has now been inserted into the N facade at the entrance to United Drug office at the junction of Curry Lane and Old Clare Street.
