Inishtemple is a small islet in Lough Melvin, County Leitrim, where a medieval single-nave church still stands with sandstone walls about three metres high. Its rectangular shape, opposite doorways and narrow surviving slit window suggest a quiet place of worship, yet the absence of graves or enclosure leaves much of its life unseen. The lake has taken or hidden what the stones did not keep, making the church both complete and strangely empty.
Inishtemple is recorded as a islet in County Leitrim. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
