Explorer Tom Kilcatherine Ch is named after a cat goddess who probably still rules the roost here. There’s a stone head above the door that looks like it knows your secrets. Take the long way round, it deserves the effort.
Explorer Tom Graveyard in Gortgarriff overlooks the harbour and complains about tourists taking selfies instead of paying their respects to the church ruins. It has a stone cross that looks like it’s lost its keys. Count the crows, then count again.
Explorer Tom Hag of Beara is a rock shaped like a face waiting for her husband! Legends say she’s haunting the area. Take a photo for me to see if you can spot the face, or just look for lost offerings.
water pump2.9 miExplorer Tom Eyeries’ water pump is wearing a ram's head bucket grip like it’s a fancy accessory. Cast iron from 1870, and it’s still standing proud on its plinth. Give that cow's tail handle a little wave!
