What is recorded here
Inside a ringfort at Eastwell, unbaptised infants were buried in a small rectangular cillín because church rules denied them consecrated ground. Moss-covered stones still mark east-west graves within the ancient earthwork, blending medieval structure and excluded childhood grief. The place remains locally known, preserving a loss that formal ceremony would have erased.
Infants Burial Ground is a cemetery in County Galway, Ireland.
