The buildings at nos. 14 -17 Moore Street date from the mid-eighteenth century. The facades of all four buildings were rebuilt in the 19th century and they survive as a distinct and recognisable group in the streetscape. No. 16 Moore Street is accepted as the final headquarters of the 1916 leaders and is the location where the decision to surrender was taken. The buildings are a national monument in State care.
