Indicated

In a slight natural hollow on the rocky hazel-and blackthorn-covered SW-facing slope of a ridge (between the 400’ and 500’ contours). Outlined on the OS 25-inch plan (1897) and on the later, Cassini edition (1920) of the OS 6-inch map. Listed as ‘Cashel (possible)’ in the RMP (1996). Described and discussed by Gibson (2007, 20-24), this heavily overgrown, irregularly subcircular enclosure (c. 60m ENE-WSW; c. 59m NNW-SSE) is defined by a loose drystone wall of leaning slabs which is most visible along the SE sector.
