Within the NE corner of a burial ground (CO142-001001-). Two standing stones are depicted but not named on the 1842 OS 6-inch map to the E of an anomalous stone group (CO142-001002-). The burial ground has been largely cleared of overgrowth and only the stones from the anomalous stone group are visible. There is no local knowledge of the two possible standing stones. Likely dating to the Late Neolithic or Bronze Age, the stone may have functioned as a boundary marker or ritual feature within a burial landscape. Local folklore sometimes associates such stones with protective or guiding roles for the dead.
