What is recorded here
In improved pasture, on a broad, high ridge. Circular area (diam. 18m) defined by scarp (Wth 2.3-2.5m; H 1-1.4m) and fosse (Wth 5.05m; D 1.55m) at N-ESE; not defined ESE-SW and not seen SW-N due to impenetrable vegetation. The monument is enclosed by an earthen field boundary (Wth 3.95; H 1.2m) from SE-NW, the boundary formerly continued northward but has been removed. The interior is saucer shaped and generally level in the centre. There are gaps at the NNE and ESE which appear modern. Loose earthen material has been dumped along the base of the scarp in the SE-W. A farm trackway runs N-S c. 12m W of the enclosure.
