Fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Slishmeen, County Mayo

In pasture, on SE-facing slope. Circular area (31m N-S; 28.5m E-W), enclosed by tree-topped earthen bank (H 1m), levelled NE to S. Numerous breaks in bank caused by farm animals. The above description has been derived from D. Lavelle (compiler), An Archaeological Survey of Ballinrobe and District including Lough Mask and Lough Carra. Lough Mask and Lough Carra Tourist Development Association (1994), No. 210.
