What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort in County Cavan where a hidden rath became a ring of conifers. Its earthen bank still circles a narrow oval, but the entrance vanished and only a faint trench marks the western edge. People may have lived inside before the trees took the place, yet the fort now belongs to imagination and shadow.

May originally have been a rath later transformed into a tree-ring. Raised circular area (int. dims. 27.2m N-S; 24.7m E-W) enclosed by an earthen bank and traces of a fosse or trench identifiable only from SW-W-N. Original entrance not recognisable.
