What is recorded here

In pasture, located on the E side of a low rise. Circular platform (diam. 12m; ext. H 0.6m at W, 1.1m at E) enclosed by a fosse (Wth 1.5-2m) and external earth and stone bank (Wth 3-3.5m; int. H 1.2-1.5m; ext. H 0.2m at W, 1.2m at E). The central platform is slightly domed in profile, with a shallow depression (diam. c. 2m) on the NE side. The fosse is narrow relative to the external bank which is substantial, but low externally at W where it is dug into the rising slope. Stony remnants of a field fence overlie the external bank at N–E. Overall diam. (crest to crest ext. bank): 21m The central platform is grass covered; the outer bank is ringed with gorse, thorn bushes and brambles. There is another barrow (MA082-046----) 300m to NW.
