Indicated is a walled graveyard in County Clare, Ireland, where a strong drystone wall still surrounds the cathedral and round tower. Rabbits may have scattered human bones beside the tower until people removed them in 2003, suggesting even forgotten death can become a warning about curiosity itself.

Listed as ‘Walled enclosure’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). A rectangular area (55m E-W; 38m N-S) around the cathedral (067-024008-) and the round tower (CL067-024005-) defined by a stong drystone wall. An assessment was undertaken in 2001 to determine the potential archaeological impacts of visitors to the island. A concentrated spread of disarticulated human remains was noted on the surface alongside the round tower, possibly disturbed by rabbits. The area was fenced off and all human remains removed as it was at severe risk owing to visitor stress focusing on the round tower.
