What is recorded here

Indicated is a lost fairy fort on a Mayo ridge, erased by ploughs and time. It faced Lough Keeran, perhaps watching water or waiting for people who no longer remember its name.

In pasture, located on the level summit of a N–S ridge. At E the ground falls steeply to a flat expanse of damp pastureland, with a small lake, Lough Keeran, immediately to SE of the ridge. There is a more gradual slope on the W side of the ridge. A circular enclosure (diam. c. 45m) is not shown on the 1838 and 1930 OS 6-inch maps.
