What is recorded here

Indicated is a subcircular enclosure about 23m wide, hidden in dense scrub on an east-facing slope 100m southeast of a wedge-tomb clearing in County Clare. It appeared on the 1916 OS map and was noted by Ros Ó Maoldúin, possibly belonging to the tomb or to the second enclosure 25m northwest. The scrub may have swallowed its stones, yet the circle still marks a place where people gathered, buried or remembered beside the tomb.

In dense scrub on a slight E-facing slope just c. 100m SE of a clearing in which lies a wedge tomb (CL006-056----). Indicated as a subcircular enclosure (diam. c. 23m) on the 1916 OS 6-inch map and noted by Ros Ó Maoldúin. It may have been associated with the wedge tomb.
