Indicated is a circular earthen fort in County Mayo, Ireland, where a low slumped bank still marks the edge of a platform raised higher on the south to resist the slope. It sits among rolling pasture and neighbouring forts, suggesting a small cluster of homes, herds and decisions made under wide southern skies. The earth has been partly levelled, yet the shape remains clear enough to imagine people moving across it, watching weather come from the sea and claiming the land as their own.

In an expanse of rolling reclaimed pasture, located towards the base of a S-facing slope giving extensive views to S–SE. This rath is evident as a raised, circular area (26.5m N–S; 25.2m E–W) defined by a low, broadly slumped scarp (Wth slope 2m at N, 5.7m at S; H 0.4m at N, 0.7m at S), which has been partly levelled. The platform appears to have been built up higher on the S half to compensate for the natural slope.
