What is recorded here
Within the N end of the interior of an enclosure (CL009-047----) and overgrown with hazel. Depicted as a circular hachured enclosure (overall diam. c. 16m) on the 1842 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and as an almost square enclosure (c. 10m E-W; c. 9m N-S) on the 1916 ed. It consists of a slightly raised rectangular area (int. dims. 9.3m N–S; 8.7m E–W) defined by a low grass-covered stone wall (Wth c. 0.65–1.35m) with outer wall-facing visible at the E. A drystone wall overlies it at S. This appears to be a pre-modern house site, although perhaps not contemporary with the enclosure.
