What is recorded here

Indicated is a small circular island about seventeen metres across, floating one hundred and seventy metres from the Cavan shoreline and twenty-five metres north of St Mogue's island. Davies called it a probable crannog in 1948, yet no house, hearth or owner has emerged from the water to prove the claim. It remains a bare dot on every survey, close enough to touch the sacred island but separated just far enough to deny comparison.

Small circular island (diam. c. 17m) marked on all OS eds., c. 25m N of St Mogue's island on which is situated an early ecclesiastical site (CV013-049----), and 170m from the shoreline. Davies (1948, 116) described it as probably being a crannóg.
