Situated on top of a small hill in grassland with extensive views in all directions. Depicted on the 1837 OS Fair Plan maps as a small rectilinear enclosure and annotated as ‘fort’ with a gravel pit immediately outside the NE corner. Remains consist of a rectangular-shaped area (approx. dims. 17m NW-SE; 16m NE-SW) enclosed by a low, poorly preserved earthen bank. Traces of cultivation ridges are visible running E-W in the field outside the site. Compiled by: Frank Coyne and Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 13 February 2018
