What is recorded here
Indicated is a vanished standing stone in County Cork, Ireland, hidden beneath pasture on a southwest-facing slope. It may have marked a boundary, a burial, or a meeting place before human activity erased its shape. The land still holds the shape of its absence, waiting for someone to notice what is no longer visible.
In pasture, on SW-facing slope. No visible surface trace.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
