Indicated (1846) was a circular earthen fort on a low rise above the Ardsheelhane river, but human hands levelled it into pasture before the century closed. The first survey mapped its shape, while the second admitted only that a site had once existed there. Forgetting came quickly in Kerry, turning a defended home into grass and erasing the people who lived inside the ring.

No surface trace of this site survives. It is indicated on the first edition of the OS map as a circular area, but is marked only as 'site of' on the second edition. It was located in pasture on the summit of a low rise, a short distance E of the Ardsheelhane river. By the late nineteenth century the site was levelled and the area was used for agricultural purposes (OSRNB 1896, 91). The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
