What is recorded here
The fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Mullaun is in County Sligo, Ireland. Earlier files wrongly claimed the rath was levelled and invisible, but it still stands as a roughly circular area thirty-five to forty metres across. A bank encloses the space, though later field boundaries and hedgerows now incorporate that ancient structure.
Due to an error in the SMR files this possible rath was recorded as levelled and not visible at ground level (Egan et al. 2005). It is, however, extant. It consists of a roughly circular area (diam. c. 35-40m) enclosed by a bank which has been incorporated into later field boundaries/hedgerows.
