What is recorded here

Indicated is a small oval field on a rocky knoll in County Clare, bounded by a modern drystone wall and centred on a grass-covered L-shaped cairn. It appears in official lists as an enclosure, yet the young wall and buried marker suggest a person shaped the land long after ancient origins faded. The valley beside it has probably watched that change, holding the field like a small room set aside for memory or mischief.

Situated on a knoll of rock outcrop on the W side of a small N-S valley. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). Visible on an aerial photograph (GSIAP R 12/11). On inspection in 1997 this was found to be a small, oval field defined by a drystone wall (H c. 1m) of modern construction.
