What is recorded here
The site is in a field of pasture north of Middletown House. Shown on the 1837 edition OS 6-inch map as circular in plan (diam. c. 35m). Not visible at ground level. Cropmark of levelled monument shows a circular-shaped area enclosing a possible house site defined by the cropmark of a larger outer ditch that is visible visible on Apple Maps orthoimage.
