What is recorded here

Indicated is a small stony crannog floating off the south shore of Lough Melvin, barely half a metre above the water and no more than twenty-five metres across. It sits close enough to a narrow peninsula that a rope or a determined swimmer could reach it, yet far enough from the main bank to feel deliberately hidden. The northern shore holds a rough stone cut like a quern, suggesting people once ground grain or marked time beside the lake. The rest has sunk back into grass, water and forgetting, leaving only a circular shadow where a home may have stood.

Located off the S shore of Lough Melvin, c. 350m WNW of Gubanummera Point and c. 50m from the point of a small peninsula to the WSW. This is an overgrown, circular, steep-sided, stony island (diam. c. 25m; H 0.5-1m) with a possible rough-out for a quernstone on the shore at N, but otherwise there is no visible surface evidence of artificial construction.
