Indicated

In pasture, in a thicket of overgrowth on the W edge of modern rectangular field, located on a slight rise with good but not extensive views. A very slightly raised, roughly circular area (10.3m N–S; 10m E–W) defined by the remains of a bank (Wth 1.2m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.55m, at SSW). The bank is largely earthen but incorporates stones in parts. It is best preserved at E–SW but is low and degraded elsewhere, with sections at W and N which are almost entirely levelled. The centre of the interior appears to be gently raised or domed, but is difficult to examine due to overgrowth. It is in a dilapidated condition and is ringed with hawthorn and blackthorn bushes. There is property fence immediately to NW. Classification of this monument is difficult -it may be a ring-barrow. Compiled by: Jane O’Shaughnessy Date of upload: 13 July 2021
