Situated S of the public road in a wet marshy field this well is outlined on the 1900 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Nearby possible holy well (DG081-012001-) located 39m to the NE and bullaun stone (DG081-011-) 860m to the SW. Spring well which is covered by a stone surround and appears to have a stone pipe exiting from the W face of the well. No evidence of any votive offerings at the well. Described by Ó Muirgheasa as 'Beside the road from Cashel to Meenacroise are two Holy Wells about 40 yards from each other in the townland of Kilgoley (Cill Gabhlaigh?). The wells are nameless but the roilig of Cill na Manach and Roilig na Manach are near them, and they are reputed holy, and cures are said to have happened at them' (Ó Muirgheasa 1936, 150).
