What is recorded here

Indicated is a man-made underground passage in County Galway, Ireland. It is not an imagined wonder but a built structure beneath the living ground. The hidden passage may have served people who understood that secrecy and memory need no visible monument.

On a slight SE-facing slope. Poorly preserved roughly circular ringfort (D 39m) defined by an inner bank with traces of an intervening fosse and outer bank from N to E. Within the interior are two circular stone-lined depressions (D c. 1.4m); possibly collapsed animal pens. A pathway cuts the monument at NE andSW.
