The fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Knockatotaun is in County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies a semicircular area on the east-facing slope of a ridge, bounded by an earthen bank that is four metres wide and one and a half metres high internally. A three-metre gap appears at the north edge, while a linear earthen bank extends eastward into the interior from the northwest quadrant. Field boundaries abut the enclosing bank at the north and south, and two quarry pits sit immediately south and one hundred metres north of the structure.

In pasture, on the E-facing slope of a ridge. A semicircular area (53.8m N-S) defined by an arc of earthen bank SSE-N and open elsewhere as indicated on the 1914 OS 6-inch map. The bank (Wth 4m; int. H 1.5m; ext. H 1.45m) has an external drain (Wth 1.4m; D 0.3m). Gap (Wth 3m) at N. The interior slopes markedly down to E. A linear earthen bank (L 13.4m; Wth 2.9m; H 0.9m) in the NW quadrant extends E into the interior from the bank of the rath at NW. Field boundaries abut the enclosing bank at N and S. There is a quarry pit immediately to S and another c. 100m to N.
