What is recorded here

Situated on level ground towards the SW end of a low ridge. A small cist (dims. c. 0.43m x 0.3m) of four slabs with a capstone containing a food vessel (WI035-041----), discovered in 1933 within a rectangular enclosure (WI035-041001-) marked on the 1838 OS 6-inch map. What remains on the site is a small cairn (WI035-041002-), with traces of stone facing, which may be part of the enclosure. (Dargan 1916, 77-8; Waddell 1990, 163) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
