What is recorded here

Situated on a gentle N-facing slope overlooking the Little Slaney River. Circular area (diam. 32m) consisting of a platform (H 0.3-1m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2m; H 0.5m) at the NE and SSW and an external fosse (Wth 2-2.5m; D 0.3-0.5m) visible from NE-S-NW. There is a V-shaped cut in the site at the N to allow access between fields. No indication of an entrance or internal features (other than a low modern bank). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
