Indicated

Situated just below the summit of a hill on a N-facing slope. Depicted on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map as a large circular enclosure with no evidence of any woodland planted inside the enclosure. A large circular area (diam. 100m N-S) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2.5m; int. H 1m; ext. H 0.3m) with slight traces of a shallow external fosse. No evidence of an entrance feature. Dense vegetation cover made detailed examination of the site difficult. Described as an area of woodland enclosed by a modern bank of no archaeological significance (OPW file, 1957).
