On flat pasture land with good extensive views. Irregular shaped rounded mound (base diam 30m; top diam 15m; H 4m) with no evidence of an enclosing fosse or external bank. There are a lot of loosely piled stones around the base of the mound which is probably a result of field clearance. No evidence of any man made features on this mound. Its irregular shape and varying steepness tends to suggest that this is a natural hill. According to local tradition this is the burial site of a local chieftain and the local landowner will not touch the site as a result. It may have been a natural hill which has been used as a burial site. On first edition of OS 6-inch map site is depicted as a possible landscape feature.
