What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort or stone ringfort in Killeglan, County Roscommon, Ireland. It appears as a circular enclosure thirty-five to forty metres across on the 1837 Ordnance Survey six-inch map. The site lies towards the bottom of a south-facing slope among field walls, though it no longer shows in the pasture beside a farm complex. A cashel stands about one hundred and thirty metres to the east-southeast.

Marked as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 35-40m) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated towards the bottom of a S-facing slope in an area with field walls. It is not visible at ground level in pasture adjacent to a farm complex but it was probably a cashel. The cashel (RO050-005----) is c. 130m to the ESE.
