What is recorded here

Indicated is a ruined fairy fort in County Mayo, a shallow earthen ring now half-swallowed by pasture and forgetting. It still holds its shape on the east-facing slope, a pale scar in the grass where human hands or fairy hands once drew a circle around the world. The north side has been flattened by later fields, but the east and west banks remain, low and patient, waiting for someone to walk inside and remember what the ring was for.
