Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Kellybrook (athlone North By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies the crest of a NNW-SSE ridge as a circular grass and scrub-covered area measuring 36.9m east-west and 36.2m north-south. An overgrown earthen bank and outer fosse define the perimeter, while the NW and NE walls of a nearby house site abut the inner edge of the bank at SW.
On the crest of a NNW-SSE ridge. Circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 36.9m E-W; 36.2m N-S) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (at N: Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.8m) and an outer fosse (Wth of base 2m; ext. D 0.2m) NW-N, the bank being incorporated into a scrub-covered field bank elsewhere. There is no identifiable original entrance, but the NW (L 3.5m) and NE (L 2.2m) walls of a house site (RO045-035002-) defined by the grass-covered base of the walls (Wth c. 1m) abut the inner edge of the bank at SW.
