What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Keadew West, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a low rise with a circular grass-covered area measuring 28.5m north-south. An earthen bank surrounds most of the circle, while stone wall foundations appear along the south-west to east-north-east edge. A field bank slightly truncates the south-eastern boundary, and no entrance or fosse remains visible.

On a low rise. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 28.5m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 1.7-3m; int. H 0.2-0.7m; ext. H 0.7-0.9m) SE-W-ENE, which is surmounted by the foundations of a stone wall (Wth 0.8m) SSW-ENE. The site is slightly truncated by a NNE-SSW field bank at SE. There is no visible fosse or entrance.
