Built against natural slope, on SW side of laneway. Random-rubble sandstone walls encase earthen core; rough buttress on S side. Front elevation (H c. 4m; Wth 4.8m) faces W, tapers slightly inwards with height; corbelled recess (H 2.66m; Wth 2.5m; D c. 2m) with sloping slabs at rear. Infilled funnel (diam. c. 2m). Two beam holes on corner of front elevation just above height of recess. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
