On break in W-facing slope on S side of road. Front wall (H 3.6m; Wth 5.2m) facing W retains earthen core; arched recess (H 1.6m; Wth 2.2m; D 2.2m) has brick-lined side walls, sloping slabs at rear. Earthen ramp approaches from E. Funnel blocked off with corrugated iron cover. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
