What is recorded here

Indicated is a crannog in Fearagh (caddell), County Roscommon, Ireland. It stands about sixty metres from the southwest shore of Tully Lough as a circular, overgrown island twenty-three and a half metres across. Earth, stone, horizontal timbers and some vertical posts remain visible on its east side. Quernstones recovered from the site link it to human activity, while three other crannogs sit within three hundred and ten metres to the northeast, east-northeast and east-southeast.

Situated c. 60m from the SW shore of Tully Lough, a tear-shaped lake (dims. c. 600m NW-SE, c. 120m NE-SW at SE to c. 400m NE-SW at NW). Circular overgrown island (diam. 23.5m; H 1.2m) of earth and stone with horizontal timbers and some verticals visible at the E side. Quernstones have been recovered from it (Lucas 1961, 98), and crannogs (RO017-204----), (RO017-110----) and (RO017-112----) are c. 190m, c. 180m and c. 310m to the NE, ENE, and ESE respectively.
