Indicated is a ruined ecclesiastical enclosure on an east-facing slope in County Galway, marked by a surviving stone bank and gaps where entries once cut through. It stands within the old Eyrecourt Demesne, beside a church and graveyard, suggesting a place where worship, burial and daily life shared one small landscape. The field boundaries that now clip and cross it show how quickly human memory can be rewritten by farming, leaving only a low stone arc to hint at the shape of devotion.

On an E-facing slope in grassland, formerly part of Eyrecourt Demesne. Depicted on the OS 1:2500 plan (surveyed 1912-16) as roughly subcircular enclosure (c. 77m NW-SE) defined by a bank from E through S to NW. A roughly WNW-ESE running field boundary clipped it at NW and field boundaries ran outside it from E to SSE and from SSE to W. Another field boundary cut through the interior at W and NE. A church (GA108-076001-) and graveyard (GA108-076002-) occupied the area to the SE of the latter boundary. On inspection only a short stretch of the bank survived from W to NNE; the N sector was overlain by the WNW-ESE running field boundary. The enclosing element was grass covered and mainly composed of stone (base Wth 3.6m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.8m). Three gaps (Wth 2-3m) were visible in it. Possibly an ecclesiastical enclosure.
