What is recorded here

This rectangular building (7.5m NW-SE; 5.2m NE-SW; wall T 0.8m) is part of the monastic complex known as na Seacht Teampaill/the Seven Churches and is c. 5m to the ENE of Teampall Bhreacáin/Temple Brecan (GA110-010001-). It is constructed of roughly coursed mortared masonry. A pointed arch doorway is visible at the N end of SW wall and there is a single-light ogee-headed window on either side of it. The remains of another doorway are evident opposite it in the NE wall (Waddell 1973, 12, Building C). (Gosling 1993, 63, no. 349) Compiled by: Olive Alcock Date of upload: 8 March 2016
