What is recorded here

Situated on the east facing slope on high ground. Impossible to examine due to dense overgrowth but does not appear to be an enclosure. A lot of loose stone lying around may belong to the remains of a house site. Unsure if site is of archaeological interest. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 23 May 2011
A local fairy fort (ringfort/rath); wider significance not recorded.
