Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

In pasture, on top of a drumlin with a commanding view. This rath is not visible at ground level. It was indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a D-shaped enclosure (dims. c. 30m NE-SW; straight NE side L c. 30m NNW-SSE). On the 1942-43 OS 6-inch map it was indicated as a subrectangular area (c. 40m NE-SW; c. 40m NW-SE) defined by a curving field boundary N-NE, by a curving scarp NE-SSW, by two short linear field boundaries which form a W corner and by a hachured bank NW-N. There is a Man-made underground passage (SL044-023002-) in the interior.
