What is recorded here

Excavation of part of St Kevin's Road running from near the Deer Stone to a point E of St Kevin's Well showed that it was roughly cobbled and 2.5-3m wide. It runs parallel with the modern road and may have served to connect St Saviour's Priory with the rest of the monastic settlement. (Manning 1983, 346) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
